About the Fellowship
The Osaka University Fellowship Program offers a fellowship system, consisting of research support grants (for living expenses) and research expenses, in order to provide stability for doctoral students at Osaka University, who are expected to play important roles in creating scientific and technological innovations in future Japan, as they concentrate on their research.
Under the Super Hierarchical Materials Science program, fellowships are planned to be provided as follows:
Amount Provided as Research Support Grant
¥2,040,000 per year
Note: Considered taxable income. Recipients will be required to pay income tax and inhabitant tax, and to join the national health insurance program.
Amount Provided as Research Expenses
¥460,000 per year
